Art has always brought me joy.  At first I always got in trouble, doodling on my brown paper school book covers, drawing on my bedroom wall when it was dark so that I could wake up in the morning and see what I had drawn.  Classes in high school introduced me to the many different media and styles of art. I particularly enjoyed drawing and painting plants and flowers.

Economics made me choose nursing school over art school, regulating my art work to a hobby. Fast forward a lot of years when a Master Gardener friend saw my drawing and suggested that I take classes in Botanical Art and Illustration.  It has become a pleasure to rekindle my skills and learn new ones.  Close observation and line drawings are followed by detailed sketches and color choices to become a final product.   The rhythm and the movement of a drawing across the page becomes a dance on paper that I can now share with you.
